Default is this correct DV fitting for classic???

here are a few pics of my DV setup. is it correct? i've seen pics where 1+2 are removed. i tried this earlier but removing no2 leaves it sucking really hard for air?! i take it this is for the manifold intake? surely if nothing is connected then dust etc can enter? please let me know. cheers.

Yes, that looks correct to me.

The blue vacum pipe must remain connected.

Its pretty loud mate especialy when on full boost. Sounds like a very high pitch bird cheep! Doin high speed then slowly letting off the accelerator creates a long high pitched sound for a few seconds and sounds pretty good. Make sure u have the silver or gold insert, makes all the difference compared to the purple which is quiet.

Yes, the vac connection from the inlet manifold (or anywhere from downstream of the TB) is fundamental to the way a DV works.

to be honest, i think they are both the same. just that the gold one is for that 'bling' look. i have read that its even louder if you take the insert out completely but check this out using google. as posted, they are on e-bay but there was someone selling one on here. see if you can dig out the old post mate. they do sound nice!
