interior blanking plates???

Default interior blanking plates???

ive stripped the rear out of my classic and i am wondering what the two plates (held in by screws) are under/behind the rear seats?

what is under them?

what is the foam material underneath for?

One is for the access to fuel pump, on the drivers side. Can't say I've noticed the other one.

PS: The foam helps to suppress noise from the underside of the car eg. exhaust and road noise from the tyres.
