Evening all was wondering if anyone could tell me what sort of boost a turbo 2000 original dv would handle ?

Theoretically ANY boost level, because when on-boost the charged air acts on, and is therefore equalised on both sides of the diaphragm (which keeps it shut). I think it's the physical size of the dump valve which can cause a restrcition.... but we're talking high relative boost levels here of, possibly, 2+ bar... which you're not likely to employ.

Thanks for clearing that up for me. No car not going to make that sort of boost but was mapped at 18 psi with a baily valve fitted and wanted to make shore the standard one wasn't going to leak and cause problems if i was to swap them over. Thanks again.

Unless your std dump valve is physically in bad condition e.g. split plastic casing, diaphragm perrished, etc., it'll handle 18psi (1.24bar) no problem. That's considered a 'mild' uprated boost level on a EJ20 engine.
