HKS SSQV, REVIEWS & OPINIONS
Well ... thats the worst, what model and model year car ? I see you may have a new age.
If so your std bov is the best to have.
Welcome to the SQV world of bad idle, jerkiness on fast gear change.
cheers

Thanks bob, my cars is a 2004 model blob eye!
I've had it remapped to 300bhp since taking
The cats off and replacing the up pipe and
Down pipe with hayward and scott! It was running super
But since the his has felt lumpy at idle!

The design of this unit should only open when boost boost backed up and vacum on other side. Might be a wild guess but the flange where it bolts to the intercooler is thin than the factory flange, gives the impression those 12mm bolt are tight but they aren't i'd make sure it's firmly seated on the intercooler.

He didnt ignore Bob...
But that is a good point that Dean made about the bolt length... I remember when I had my HKS on MY03 and I used shorted bolts, only coz it was esier than fiddling around with the longer one with that particular BOV.
Try shorter bolts Lee, but other than that dont worry about the idle being like that on cold start.

Wasn't ignoring anyone mate, just merely making a valid point.
I have personal experience with that valve and on that particular car.
I hadn't had a remap directly after fitting the valve and have no issues before
the remap or after, I guess it depends on the mapper I used a road mapper Andrew Carr, he was bang on mate.
I'd be looking at the possiblity of a faulty valve,
quick test spray a little brake cleaner around and on the valve whilst the engine is idleing if the revs fluctuate when you spray it you either aint seated right or the valve is leaking in air.
Hope that helps.

I would seriously save yr money and go for the HKS mate, Other ones can leak under boost and idle conditions, the design of the SSQV means it won't leak under pressure, Have a look at Jap Performance Parts : Home Used parts from Japan but well looked after.
