No 4 cylinder oil nut (thread?) for oil temp sensor
Hi all,
Does anyone know what the thread size/type is for no 4 cylinder is (the one nearest the turbo)? The block has an inspection hole with plug - I need to replace with plug with a special adaptor nut (threaded both external and internal) that will take an SPA oil gauge sensor and screw into the block in place of the plug.
Its a 2.5L block but I think they're all the same...new age or classic.

I've got the sensor covered as supplier of adaptor or polo like "nut" already knows SPA gauge sensors, I just dont have thread gauges so cant confirm the block stuff...hopefully someone knows...

m18x1.5mm pitch.
I had a local hydraulics company press me a connecting tube assembly.
It consisted of a m18x1.5 plug, pressed onto that was 40cm of high pressure hose, the other end was 1/8npt female.
That way you have much more room/clearance, as the spot down there is quite cramped.
Also with the turbo beinig there I was concerned with the heat damaging the wires.
Edit.
I see that you want to fit a temperature sensor, then this doesn't work.
The hose has pressure, but not flow, thus temp readings are skewed.
What I normally do is just remove the standard pressure switch @ alternator, put the temp-sensor there.
then lenghten the wiring, and fit both the aftermarket gauge sensor, and the stock warning light to the nr4 cilinder.
