Default INCURABLE OVERBOOST ISSUE

RIGHT, ITS A 65 WRX WAGON

its mods are
3'' bell mouth D,pipe
3'' system
TDO5 16g
OE heat wrapped headers (an downpipe an turbo)
sti hearder tank
hks induction kit with max flow pipercross cone
autobahn front mount
z4 ecu
pulled 312bhp/290lbft on the rollers at 1.0bar (when the boost held)

ive changed the turbo once, 3 different sets of piping, cleaned the boost solonoid, 3 actuators, an apexi avc-r an LOADS!! of £££ taking it to garages here an there? been on 50 different forums. my car will not, for the love of god stop over boosting? even disconnected the actuator jammed the waste gate open an it STILL hit the fuel cut???????? then the turbo was changed, been ok for 2 months... now its back. so i ask any impreza guru's out there, in desperation (the car's goin other wise) WHAT IS IT? how can i get it too contain boost???? frigging HELP

First get all the piping to the actuator etc checked. Try with the cat (catalytic converter) in place (might be a pain in ar$e with 3' system) and see if the boost peaks past the preset level or if it holds with the additional back pressure.
It maybe that the free flow nature of the exhaust can be one of the causes of boost creep, but check with other peoples experiences who have a similar setup.

Can you post up any pictures to go with this? It sounds like it should be something simple. Pics of all the boost pipework and vacuum hoses to and from the boost solenoid and map sensor etc could be helpful. And to make a diagnosis easier it may be worthwhile removing the electronic boost controller for now so the engine runs with the factory ECU settings.

there are no cracks or leaks in the pipeing. ive had them under a magifying glass i firstly had a group N 2.5'' downpipe on (i forgot to put that in the first description) then changed to the 3'' bell mouth no difference on both. its not been mapped yet.

i cant afford £600 for mapping yet. or justify it. dont wana pay that an it still does it, an waste of 600 notes. id sooner it hold boost. then map it

its also now on the factory boost controller, set up correctly with the restrictor in place, boost comes in. goes to around 1.3 bar drops to 1.2 bar then WHACK!! fuel cut. ANY gear!! which is weird, cos the factory boost is 0.9bar. im out of money, idea's, an patience!! its like bein really really thirsty, an some one plonks a nice pint in front of yer! ''You cant drink that!!'' av got nearly 320 horse's to play with... an cant use it

Lets get this clear. It has no boost controller of any sort fitted at the moment, the ECU alone is trying to control boost, and it still boosts to 1.3bar?

Are you sure all the vacuum hoese are 100% connected correctly?

We can help if you give as much info as poss. Pictures can tell a 10000 words!

it has the factory fitted boost controller plumbed in. the boost controller top port goes to the compressor housing, the lower one goes to the actuator, the very bottom one is the bled air off the boost controller which goes back into the intake system after the maf sensor. the restrictor on the map sensor is back in place. so the boosting system is now factory.

an yes, with all that back in it boosts at 1.3. settles for a split second at 1.2 then i head put the steering wheel with the fuel cut!

The restrictor pill goes into the bottom hose off the Boost Solenoid. The hose that goes to the air intake.

no wonder its running like that ther is no boost controller on it and its not REMAPPED for the mods you have done to it. get a boost controller installed and get it mapped asap or your going to have bigger problems than you already have at the mo

The Boost Control Solenoid is the one with 3 nipples, the one at the top is the MAP sensor

It'll be fine now. Get the controller back on and reset your boost to where it was on the rolling road.
