Default Car left in gear, gd or bad?

My driveway is on a considerable slope, with previous cars i've always left it in gear when parked up, however they have been rwd or fwd.
Will leaving the car in gear damage or be bad for the awd system on the scoob?

Cheers

My drive is on a bit of a slope so always leave it in gear. Will be fine.

Ditto.

I park on a steep bank, and leave it in gear.

Always leave mine in gear, even on the flat, never had any probs (as long as you take it out of gear before starting up lol)

will be fine, just make sure its in the opposite gear to the direction of the slope (or is that no the case?) aka front pointing down put it in reverse, back pointing down put it in first

Yep I always leave it in gear. However it didn't stop my Hilux from rolling down the drive and blocking the village when the handbrake snapped!

When parking on slopes/hills I turn the wheel slightly into the curb aswell. If it does decide to go anywhere then it won't go far!

I never use the handbrake anymore. A few years back at the Nurburgring Porsche came out to the northloop with a customer who kept complaining about his discs warping. Turns out after a lap and back in the parking the handbrake pads were retaining heat while the rest of the disc was cooled down. That was enough to warp it.

Always best to leave the handbrake off for a while after going on the track

Yup, standard track advice. When parking up in the paddock after a session, park on the flat or chock the wheels, leave the handbrake off and engine running for at least five minutes. Same principal regarding the footbrake when stood at lights or other hold-ups on the road. You might have just done a fairly big stop and to sit their for a minute or two with your foot planted on the brake pedal, holding the hot pads against the disk is not good for the disk, pad, caliper or fluid. It's what the handbrake is for ! Another plus is that the guy behind isn't squinting at your brake lights
