Default How many miles to a Tenner Hee hee

Just wondering how many miles my family saloon car I can expect for a tenner I know it won't be a lot but I'm talking about when I just drive to and from work with minimal boost.

As for the family saloon car - thats what I tell the insurance

In my 98 2000 turbo I did 280miles on a motorway at a steady 80, I live in a very stop start city and would be happy with 45 / 50 to a tenner :\

100 miles to a tank??? Boody hell, mine got about 250 - 290 miles per gallon before mods and now 240 - 280, but I do drive on the motorway everyday, rush hour traffic so unable to nail it

Will let you know how many miles Im getting after a ECUTEK remap this friday, ha ha, after fitting 3 plug boost solinoid from a version 4 sti Type , NGK Iridum Pugs plus leads, Walbro fuel pump, fuel regulator, 550cc injectors, OBXR TD06-20G turbo, Wrapped equal headers, wrapped two to one uppipe, wrapped 3.5inche downpipe de-cat, straight through to back box.
the tuners Estimate is around the 360BHP+ mark, but fuel consumption will about 16 - 18 to the gallon Im lucky

Good effort! What mods and car you got mate?

The least I ever got was 167miles to chugging empty.

I normally get between 40-50 miles to a 10nr that's mixed driving.
I did manage 340miles to a tank once - on the motorway doing a steady speed

UK Turbo 2000 with Full HKS decat, TD05, PowerStation TMIC and ecu and a 3 port boost solenoid.

Depends on your power and where your driving.
In town then your looking at about 20mpg, so about 40 miles, on a run your looking at low to mid 30's depending on your driving style in a mid 200 bhp car.

£10 ≈ 40 miles commuting, bit more on the motorway. Thats V-Power or Tesco 99.

Thats cool then, I do around 40miles a week to work. Yes I know it's only a mile to work but it's all up hill so I can't walk.

So I'm happy paying around £15 a week.

Remeber when the engines cold it will use more fuel so it could work out more than that

got a 03 WRX running 285BHP and get 210 miles to a full tank of BP ultimate unleaded about £52-£55

Don't see the point in putting a tenner in as i have to drive 6 miles to my BP garage

v power is the stuff. there seem to be a mass difference between what mpg people are getting on here i have a 97 wrx 352.bhp and i get at least 250miles out of my full tank and its a 55 liter tank or 60, but if im plodding about in town and that even on a tenner i see about 35 -45

i read an article saying that the v power gives better mpg and that you actually save money by using this, this was even taking into account the fact that it costs more.

do you guys think that this is the case?

where do you guys find the cheapest petrol is?

I'd rather put diesel in my car than BP Ultimate its the worst fuel ive ever used (well the car doesnt like it at all) i always use Tesco99 or V power
