Turbo advice
Hey guys,
Turbo let go earlier today on my v3 type r, its a vf23 i believe correct me if im wrong! got a scoob breaker near me in bristol who has got loads of td05's kicking around for not a lot of money but no vf23's. Can anyone tell me if one of these will be ok or should i keep hunting/get mine rebuilt

there are loads of VF23's for sale on here or on ebay.
If you get a td05 the chances are that it will have a 90 degree intake instead of a front entry intake which is what you need, the td05 can be converted to front entry though.
Since your standard ecu cannot be remapped you would need to get an aftermarket ecu and get it remapped if you do want a different turbo to standard
If it were my car I would get another VF23

yeah think il stick with the vf23 and get it rebuilt then, any ideas as to how much a rebuild is?, no visible damage to blades its just dumping oil through, hopefully just the seals!
