Default Exhaust advice please!

Got a totally standard WRX 2004. Can get hold of an STI full exhaust system for next to nothing. Would this add a little more burble and a few more horses? Only looking for a quiet exhaust anyway. Over the next few months looking at induction kit and maybe a slight tweek on a remap, nothing too much tho.

Is it worth changing from standard wrx system????

Cheers!

From what your saying STI exhaust should suit you, especially if you`re not paying alot. Increase in performance won`t be massive and will only be apparant once you get the remap done. Check a couple of youtube vids to get a better idea of the noise level.

You won't gain any noticeable performance with a standard STI system. There are plenty of " quiet" exhausts...Prodrive for a starter. If you're forking out for a remap (650ish) you'd be better saving for a better exhaust with either a sportcat or full decat to take full advantage of it. I have full Miltek system system which is louder than standard but still quiet on the motorway.

For your needs, you should be able to pick up a second hand exhaust from from a PPP (Prodrive Performance Pack) fairly cheap. They sound much better than the stock exhaust and flow much better too.
