my 01 uk wrx holds back in 3rd 4th and 5th gear when it makes 0.9 bar standard boost its really bad , a good diesel would totally humiliate me, the problem only occours when you make boost and feels like the cars not getting enough fuel? ive replaced practically everything, coils plugs fuel pump air flow metre and done a compression test, can anyone please offer any help as im at my wits end with the car, it struggles to go over 4500 - 5000 rpm when on boost but will rev quite happily in neutral.

also i have checked all boost solinoid lines for dirt, blockages etc and all clear a;so the car has a baily dump valve.

Any CELs coming up? Put your std recirc valve on and try that. Other than that I'd take it to a professional before you 'waste' any more money and risk something serious happening... where are you located?

dont have standard recirculating valve anymore, im in northern ireland

sorted!!!!! bloody baily dump valve! temporarily blanked off the intercooler where dump valve goes with blanking plate no more hesitation just goes to show check the simple things first. ahh at last no more sleepless nights.
