Sensor under inlet manifold
As above. I have removed my carbon canistor and when i changed my inlet manifold i noticed a sensor that i think ran to it via 1 hose and the other to a breather on top of the inlet manifold. Can anyone confirm please wether i need it or not. Its mounted under the inlet manifold on the right hand side under the iacv. The car is a v3 type r.
Thanks in advance

That's the fuel vapor purge valve. You don't need the hoses connected, but you will need the electrical connector connected, or you will get check engine light.
The fuel tank vents it's gasses via that valve, you can run the vent line, which is the smaller of the three fuel hoses by the fuel filter, down under the car when removing the carbon canister.

The carbon canister is an emission control device, fuel vapour is stored in the filter and fed back for combustion via the intake vacuum.
It's just behind my washer bottle's yellow filler cap top right of the pic (sorry I don't have a close-up)

Just found a close up on a Classic. They look pretty much the same from above.
