Default Rocker cover gasket

hi everyone.

can someone tell me what sort of job is it to change the rocker cover gasket on the impreza as mine has a slight seep so need to to get it changed.

With the engine out it is not to bad, with the engine in AFAIK it can be done, but i can only imagine how akward it would be

I've watched soembody who knows what they are doing and it took them about 45 mins each side. That said the engine was rather hot so he was taking his time. It shouldn't take a garage more than 2 hours and is definately not and engine out job.

Not hard just fiddley and you need to know what bits need to be taken off, and in what order, to access the covers.

PS Make sure you buy OEM gaskets as some of the aftermarket ones tend to leak

PMSL, i was def not suggesting he take the engine out to do the job, simply that when i did it my engine was already out

as above, OEM replacements and a good quality sealant

richard henry did mine for me £60 wasnt bad i dnt think, only had it from 9am, collected it at 12pm
