Default mot fail need help
Hi just been told that my exhaust is too noisey for a mot level,anyone any idea what too do. Do i need too put the normal exhaust back on. thanks

What exhaust do you have ?? you could try a different tester

its a magnex full stainless steel,with 4 in half inch bore

as far as no there is no noise test on a mot only emisions ,my mate does mot and i have never seen his take any sort of sound tests

No sound test as such...but the mot manual says,if the exhaust is noiser than a standard exhaust in average condition the tester can fail them....so all dpends how by the book the tester is...

it shouldn't fail the mot on noise from a magnex as they are one of the quieter ones

go to another test station as its down to the guy doing the test and if he a muppet then he will fail it, ask thwem before you put it in
