Default has my party bus been remaped ?

i have a 98 turbo wagon EJ20 when i bought it the guy told me it had been chipped/remaped how can i tell, i did put a boost gauge on and its boosting 10psi and holding it in every gear is this about right, whats the standard boost, any help appreciated, cheers Andy.

10PSI seems standard ish to me....... I think the wagons were mapped to .6 bar and saloons to .8bar and yours is making .68bar.

I would be suprised if someone made the effort to have their car remapped and not want to increase performance !

Real open question mate to be fair, the car can be remapped and the price varies alot from £0 (if you use open source and have a pop yourself) - £1200 New Ecu with Map

Where abouts are you based?

there are some very useful people on here that could help you depending on where you are based :

Zen Performance : Northants
Jolly Green Monster : Travels around
Bob Rawle : Travels Around (there is currently a group buy going on for a remap with Bob.)
Andy F : Travels around

All of the above have a very good rep and are more than happy to talk to you and map to your requirements etc

£1200 for an ecu (gulp) £0 my kind of price lol i would give it a go myself but havnt a clue where to start, im from loughborough, leicestershire. cheers
