hi all newbie here i have just bought a 94 1.8gl wrx rep im planning on getting a wrx engine and running gear to track it could anybody please help me with a list of parts im going to need and best places to get them cheers scott

 

gearbox,clutch,rear diff,loom,ecu. for a start.
You could speak to David at Welcome to the API website for more technical advice.
tbh unless you can do the work yourself buy a turbo impreza as it would be easier.

 

i can do the work myself just trying to get all the bits sourced

 

fair enough speak to the guy in the link i've provided (also forgot to mention you'll need the engine obviously) see what he can do for you.

might as well just get a written off wrx cos you will need a lot of bits.
You can pick up wrx's for super cheap now so hardly seams worth it tbh just think about it
engine £700-1200
gearbox £200
diff £100?
loom £50?
front brakes £150 for ****ty 2 pots
rear brakes £100
ecu £30?

and you will probably need a lot more bits than that.
if you fancy a project you might as well get a wrx with a buggered engine.
you can have mine for £800 lol
