Remap or there's a chance the engine will lean out on boost, and that's not good
And don't forget to sort out some heat shielding, otherwise you'll be sucking in hot air

Keep standard airbox and add a panel filter IMO.
Mine had a much more sluggish pickup with a cone filter fitted. filter was in engine bay though so may differ for a filter mounted in inner wing

Panel filter all day long, no remap required, less agro to put in and the air box only becomes restrictive towards 400bhp.
Cone filter will require a remap for sure, anything that alters induction or exhaust gas flow should have a remap without a doubt!
Induction kits are a waste of money untill you go big power.
If you have money to burn you should fit a panel filter and remap anyway to get the most out of your car
