Default Any ideas?

Hi.

What does the bracket just under the intercooler do?
Its the one attached to bulk head, and has a plastic with rubber ends. Any ideas what it does.?

As I am trying to fit a huge top mount but this thing is on the way.

You mean the black plastic roughly bone-shaped thing that's bolted to the bulkhead at one end and a bracket on the top of the bellhousing at the other? That's the pitch stopper, and it, obviously enough, stops the engine and gearbox pitching. You can't easily do away with it.
