Can anyone help me? The scoob is fine when driving about normaly but when i press the go fast pedal really hard theres a strange rattle noise? almost sounds like a heatshield rattle but i have checked and dont see anything loose. It doesnt sound internal either. Could it be an engine mount gone and the engine is rubbing againt a pipe or something?

 

Had exactly the same on mine m8 since fitting a decat downpipe....removed my heatsheild and its still there....still none the wiser myself...

 

I had the same on a 04 wrx, the decat pipe to gearbox bracket bolt was missing causing it to rub and rattle/squeak under throttle.

 

I've had that problem mate but mine was the heatshield.. there was an airline crack near the bolts hardly noticeable until I got it up on hydrolics and inspected it!

 

Have you checked your up pipe heat shield. Mine broke free and sounded rattly as hell!

 

thanks for all the help guys still havn't had the chance to check it on the ramps yet but have now noticed a leak on the power steering rack? also i know its not the heatshields because i dont have any
