Default engine cutting out under load.

having some running problems with my subaru converted beetle:

spec:
ej20 turbo from a 93 jdm wrx. u8 ecu with eprom chip raising boost, fuel, and fuel cut. bailey dv26 dump valve.

symptoms:
runs ok for a couple of minutes, then engine attempts to cut out when you open up the throttle (either from a standstill, or when rolling). if i let off the throttle it recovers, but idles a little lumpy. If i turn off the ignition and restart its ok for a couple more minutes.

done the maf sensor check taking it off while running, starts to run rough then dies, so that seems ok. also all coils seem to be crack free.

Unfortunately i havent connected a check engine light yet, so havent read any codes (only just got it running in the last couple of weeks).

been searching on here a bit and the most obvious thing seems to be the wastegate solenoid... but not 100% sure.

any ideas?

well i dont have a gauge on it, but the feed pipe goes/stays hard.

also if the cars just sat on my drive i can rev the nuts off it no problems... hence thinking it might be boost related somehow.

I'd be inclined to check the coil packs, if you haven't already. They're a bugger on old cars if disturbed.

Have a check of all the boost pipes, make sure no splits or anything, I had very similar when a boost pipe came off my boost gauge.
