Default technical help

hiya guys, i herd that if i need tech help this is the best place to ask.

heres my situation, im 19, i have a 1999 impreza sport awd 2l. i cant afford to buy a turbo scooby, i can however get a turbo engine cheap. how difficult is the conversion. is the loom the same etc... and anything else that would need changing, or is it a simple drop out drop in job. would appreciate any help/advice you have thanks tom

I may be mistaken but clutch, gearbox,rear diff ,ecu, wiring loom etc.
The general consensus on here is to just buy a turbo impreza

As myblackwrx states, pretty much everything needs changing, its not worth the effort/time/money and it will put your insurance through the roof.
Easier to just buy either a hot hatch with more bhp or a turbo.

Have you got any insurance, watch them laugh when you tell them what you want to do....

I don't for one minute think you wouldn't tell them ?
