Default can i launch my car with my diff set to lock?

i have a version 4 type r that has dccd. all i wanted to know is what is the preferable setting on the diff lock if i want to launch my car?

i normally have it on on total rear bias but iv gone through 2 rear driveshafts in one week! i'm thinking maybe its because most of the power is sent to the rear? i'm running about 340 bhp.

any help would be great

cheers

You mean you have it totally open. The **** does not control bias, it only controls how open the center diff is.

If you have it on full lock then you will be breaking your gearbox instead most likely. I think it's only safe to launch if you will get a bit of wheelspin at launch, otherwise you will need very strong driveshafts, gearbox, clutch and diff to handle the stresses.
