can some one please tell me what turbo i can put on my 97 2000 turbo and run ok without remap. td04 td05 vf35
also what is fitted as standard on my car

Yes a TD05 will fit if it has been converted to front entry. If you fit it you WILL need a new ECU. You cannot fit a different turbo, run it on the original map and think you can get away with it.

 

as above if you dont map for new turbo, you will run lean and have a 2k bill at best.

 

don't forget as stated above you will need a new ecu for any kind of remap with any new turbo as you can't remap the 97/98 version 3/4 ecu's. have you thought about the popular vf35 or the even better 35 they will bolt straight on as you have front entry.

 

No worthwhile mod for power gain can be done without the need for a remap.

ESL are working on a live mapping chip for that year but it will be a couple of months yet.
