(Very) Noisy Walbro Pump
Recently my fuel pump had become very loud and you could hear a loud whining from it even when all windows and doors shut and sitting in the car. I have just fitted another walbro and it was ok until the car had been driven for about half hour and it too is just as loud. I had the first one fitted for 4months and it always was a bit louder than standard but this whining has developed and i was wondering if there might be anything else causing it? the only change that has happened on car recently is fitting the dump valve but i wouldn't have thought this was linked? any help would be greatly appreciated as i cannot understand why the new unit is also doing it.
Also noticed when changing it this time around, i couldn't seem to depressurise the tank by unplugging pump and letting car run untill stall, could this indicate a problem elsewhere?

My mate had exactly the same problem. I believe it's completely normal for those pumps, Don't qoute me though! Apparently they even give off a whining noise when turning the engine off!

I have one fitted and I don't find it too loud, I would get your fuel pressure checked at the rail to make sure it's putting to much pressure on the pump or maybe straining the pump.
Just an idea.
