Question mix bag of sorts

Hi, i have a V4 STi which has, possibly, the wrong engine, turbo, BOV and related parts. It is demaged and getting replaced buy a warrented base unit from SMR. The problem i have is the parts that i swap over my not be STi parts. So, here's what i have; Yellow injectors, spray paintd intake manif, Baily piston bov, (told was incorrect by AWD in Scotland), TD04L turbo instead of VF24. I am only assuming the rest of the ancills are same as WRX. I think i have a WRX engine and a uk spec turbo..... Its my 1st impreza. I know i have the wrong turbo, its the othere stuff i'm unsure of, injectors, intake manif, orange labled air metering unit, BOV and all ancills (water/oil pump, alt, etc).
Any help and advice would be hugely welcome
Thanks. J

Please please do not get an SMR lump!

I had one - lasted over a year until HG went. When Zen had it apart the heads were sort of located by dowel pegs and twine!!!, or something WTF. It was reckoned that upon ordering, they just stuff any old head on any old block depsite what you order from them e.g. if you order an STi engine you could get a Frankenstein's monster of a mismash of inferior WRX (or even Legacy!) parts, etc.

They supply a company in the Barking area called Prestige Partz... who were formally MDKL. Changing names but still trading the same goods - what does that tell you?

Wow, thanks, the engine origonally came from nippon spares, aka an SMR unit. Head gasket went! lol. Andy from AWD (Scotland) said he was sure that its not an STi unit. Could you further aid me and point me in the right direction for a replacement. 'm quite keen on getting a warrenty with whatever i would buy, and any thought on the rest of my thread?
Thank you again JOZ, J.

Yes, contact Dave at API (Subaru engine gurus)... or discuss your requirements with Paul at Zen Performance.

I happened to have mine rebuilt by Zen - excellent talkthrough/advice/service, etc.
