Default where is my knock sensor?

could anyone tell me where my knock sensor is on my scooby turbo its a 97 EJ20 wagon (the party bus) pictures would be even better, cheers Andy.

i think its underneath the top mount intercooler bud, basically where that joins to the throttle body look down on the actual engine casing and its there.

i have heard that you can move the sensor to somewhere that it doesn't pick up as much knocks which is better for older worn engines (like mine) is this right if so where do you move it to?

its under neath intercooler on right hand side of engine round black sensor size of 50p with 1 wire coming out you cant miss it .

how does the knock sensor work, as i hav a 95 wrx which not 2 long ago had bottom end failure but engine light didnt come on putting it into safe mode?
