Default Decreasing the effect of underbonnet temps?

Hi all
Firstly running a front mount and an induction kit.
When I get the oil up to temp - the car pulls like a train for the first 5-10mins.....then there is a noticable drop off in pull. Dont get me wrong the car drive fine. But it seems that once the temps under the bonnet rise it does effect the way the car pulls.

Well thats my theory anyway. Anyone else tackled this. what things did you do to keep the right parts cool? Heat wrap is the most obvious solution. Wrapping the down pipe could be the first move perhaps??? as I expect a fair bit of heat from there might end up under the engine bay.

Ideas welcome

Thanks
Steve

Thanks for that
Right - we are going to put a direct cold air feed pipe from the front of the car direct to the cone filter. Construct a heat shield for the turbo and wrap the downpipe.
The air filter and front mount pipe work makes it all too tight to properly isolate it at the mo.
But might have to go that route.

You might want to try a reverse scoop on your bonnet, it might help.

AFAIK, having a forward facing scoop and an FMIC causes the air to "stall" in the engine bay. Its coming in at the top and from the side with nowhere to escape.

If the scoop was the other way or you have some aftermarket bonnet the air should pass through the FMIC and out through the reversed scoop or rear facing venting.
