Default Bugeye Sti HID headlights

Hi everyone,
I have just bought a set of Sti HID headlights for my bugeye and wired them up.
However the HID bulb flickers when on, Can any one tell me if this means that the bulb is wrecked or is it another fault which is not so expensive to fix?
Any help much appreciated.
Thanks

Bulb will be fine.. as it does come on in someway...

Could either be a duff ballast or a bad earth.. Also they are ideally used with a direct feed from the battery via a relay..

I'd recheck the wirign and make sure good electical connections are being made!

Mine are running on the std power without relays (they draw less than H4s) but you must earth the Ballasts to ground not the original wiring as they will switch off when you go to high beam. They will flicker as they come on as they warm up.
