Default fuel cut

ok have typeRA witch revs fine to 7800rpm ,running around 350bhp
but when get down to quarter of tank of fuel ,when on trackday's when pushing car hard through tight turns ,
i start to get fuel serge(fuel cut) at around 6300-6500 rpm
anyway of fixing this without takeing out a bank lone

i dont say put more fuel in car quarter of tank is about 20-25 liters

JDM's have a 60 litre tank - so a true 1/4 is 15 litres.

Just regard 1/4 on the gauge as 'empty' - simple!

It means you'll never use that last 1/4 of a tank's worth (although it'll always be replaced by new fuel, as the pick-up is obviously at the bottom). But if you do let it go below that level, then you could end up with a melted engine when hooning round corners (even more at risk when doing track work!)...

take sender out of tank and bend the arm so the gauge reads empty when actually 1/4 tank.

Hey. I like the idea of that, as it's still tempting to carry on driving when it gets to a 1/4 anyway, through procrastination, laziness, lack of cash, etc., etc...

Top tip that.

Obvious answer to that is don't run a quart tank on track days.. Alternatively you could go for swirl pot setup, wouldn't cost that much, just need another pump, a swirl pot and some time etc..

I remember reading another post about this some time ago, there was a mod for it or a different type of STI pump if i remember. Do a search you may come up with something.
