Default Check Engine Light?

Wierd one on my 97P UKT.

Its only when the cars warmed up and as soon as i come down the revs to idle it goes off.

Plus its only now and again.

No loss in performance that i can feel, no noises.

Tick over sometimes is low but picks up after a few seconds.

Any ideas?

You can manually check the error codes (www.jollygreenmonster.co.uk look for the help page) if you get the error code that will help in diagnosing any problem.

Yes but as i said go to the link i've posted and it tells you how YOU can check for error codes as all classic shaped imprezas have 2 green and 2 black connectors under the drivers dash

Scoobypedia | Trusted knowledge for everything Subaru | Knowledge / Reading ECU Fault Codes

they can be hard to find as they may be taped up.

I'll second that, think I have found the black ones (small black plug with only 1 wire) but the green one still eludes me, must be about 3 miles of wire under the steering column! lol
