Default help wanted!!!

Hey guys,

I recently bought a 1999 turbo 2000 in sonic blue and I'm just wondering if anyone can tell me how much boost a standard turbo 2000 runs?

This is my first scooby and 1st turbo car my last car was a M3 but now im converted

any help you can give me is very much appreciated

I think it peaks to 0.79bar (11.5psi) and then settles to 0.65bar (9.5psi) as the revs approach the redline.

just trying to keep on top of things!

Just out of interest what mods would I need to do to reach 280bhp? with reliablity?

Walbro 255l/h fuel pump
Green panel filter
NGK PFR7B spark plugs
Decat downpipe
Remapped ECU (your OEM one is remappable via EcuTek software)

You should defo get 280bhp - the small TD04L 13g turbo being the limitng factor out of the hradware fitted to the car.

mine says GC8GK8D Any idea what that means?

Cool. The 2nd G (4th character) means that you've got the last MY Classic, the MY2000 (Sep 99 - Aug 00). Also, the K indicates that it is indeed a genuine UK car. That's all that matters as far as the code is concerned for a UK car.

So yes, your ECU is mappable as mentioned in the erlier post.

cheers mate u are a true legend!

this week I just put on some ngk irridiums and red magnecor leads next is to fit my boost,oil temp & oil presure gauges then get full service.

once I know all is well with the car then I can start the power quest!

That's right. Make sure the car is running perfectly as standard and after a service before modding and upping power levels. Modding a sick car only exasperates any problems and could lead to further, greater issues... or kill your engine.

hi i have just treated my 2000awd to a new fmic,v23 turbo,3 port boost solenoid,uprated fuel pump,simtek ecu this was because i have never found the black tmic to be any good after 250 bhp. running 1.35 bar bhp not yet known ?? will let you know if it last on the rollers

excellent! keep in touch and let me know im trying to find out the best things to do and in what order

Im not after big power std power brings a smile to my face.
I smile everytime I get in to my car and brings a tear when I have to get out lol
