just had a quote today for a recon gearbox for my legacy twin turbo auto, with 6 months warranty for £250 delivered! does this sound really cheap????????? got the quote from www.mrengine.net . anyone had any expirence with them???

Sounds way too cheap for a reconditioned Auto transmission - would imagine its a "low mileage unit". Ask them what they actually do when its reconditioned.

250 is about 1/2 to 1/3 of what i'd expect to pay

 

No way will they fully strip it to check the clutch and brake bands and strip the valve body for that price tbh.
