Default OBD Cable

Hi can somebody please explain what cables adaptors etc are needed (and where to get them from) to reset the ecu with an OBD via a laptop.
Also what else can be done via the port with what cables? Would be nice to log as well.
My car has an EcuTek remap so the map will be locked does this lock everything?
Have been looking at the Tactrix website are these a good option or is there a cheaper alternative that does the same job.

RomRaider - Open Source ECU Tools | RomRaider / Rom Raider for all of your answers. When was your car ECUTek'd, it might not be locked if it's pre-2006, if it is you can still log your car with Romraider.

Thanks The Tactrix cable sounds like the one to go for.
The car was mapped in July 07 so would assume it’s locked
Thinking of mounting a laptop under a seat and use a 7" radio/screen in the double din as a more permanent solution.
Other option would be a PSI3 but the Tactrix/Laptop option would give me more info and mapping capability if/when I want to. (Assuming I have understood what they both do )
