353bhp disapointed.
had the car mapped at powerstaion on monday, while the service from them guys i recived was top notch, i was disapointed with the power results i got.
im running a APS SR40 turbo, RCM exhaust system straight threw, power enterprise 660cc injectors and pipercross panel filter. only made 353bhp and 295.5 lbf.ft. they said it was starting to det anything over 360bhp.
i have a APS induction kit to go on, but going to wait until i put fmic on and upgrade headers.
while i cant fault the service i got, i just feel these power figures are low????
what do you think???

I would give my eye teeth for that! Help me here, i see you got 359bhp on the motor and 191bhp at the wheels thats almost a 50% drop thru the drive chain!!! I thought it was close to a 20% drop.

det = bad
FMIC + Headers = Good.
Someone put me off this turbo, but I had to go mad and get a MD321H then didn't I !
Good luck with Stage 4, 5, and 6....
LOL

your the second person to tell me powerstations rollers give low power ratings.

i asked about that, they explained on the road the figure would higher. its due to on the rollers you have 2 points of contact. on the road you just have one.

That is a mega low wheels figure. To put that in comparison, I just had mine mapped at Zen on their rollers and the wheels figure was just over 300bhp, 346bhp calculated at the flywheel - which is a much more reasonable trans loss. 191 at the wheels is not a fast Scoob? I'm no expert though.

MAHA's are set-up to give Flywheel outputs..... this is what you should compare with other RR's.
The MAHA wheel figure output has been done to death on these forums.

Assuming the low wheel figure can be accounted for (see above post), then I wouldn't be dispondant. As you say, you havent' got a FMIC on yet, so to achieve 353bhp at the fly is a great result.
When you get the FMIC (and headers), then the timing can be advanced and/or the boost turned up, to achieve the more representative 380+ the turbo can be capable of. Plus, more importantly, the torque should be swelled throughout most of the rev-range, too.
To this end, I suspect it is your TMIC promoting way too high ACT's and they are the limiting factor re the det - that is invariably the reason why the the boost level has had to tempered.
The FMIC, when fitted, will give you a 'refreshed canvas' to work from again - then you'll be able to really enjoy your set-up..
