MY03 wrx ppp middle exhaust section
does it have a cat in the middle section, or is the big bulge a resinator box or something? ive ahd the down pipe cat removed and i dont want anything else getting in the way.
the cat removal pipe on a ppp still retains the heat shields so looks the same from a casual glance as the standard pipe, if you are on about the bulge in the long centre section this is a resonator box and this can be replaced with a non resonated centre section, it adds a bit of noise but unsure if it actually makes any performance difference. The biggest restriction if it is a wrx ppp is the cat in the up pipe and this can be replaced with either an sti up pipe or an aftermarket stainless pipe, although allow a fair amount of time if you are fitting this yourself, took me about 4 hours to do up pipe and down pipe due to awkwardness of undoing the bolts and nuts.

H&S Up pipe

H&S Centre pipe straight through

If you have the PPP you should already have this short section & backbox

Oh yes. Even louder when you ditch the Prodrive backbox like I have & stick one of these on the back :-
