I should know this but i think im just being dense...

In a quest for more noise im thinking about a Nur Spec R. Am i right in thinking that the centre pipe tapers so it will match my prodrive downpipe?

The centre tapers to 2.5" to mate up with the standard dp, as long as the prodrive dp is 2.5" then you will have no problems.

There seems to be used but good condition R's more readily available for around the same price as new S's. Yes i have the deres centre pipe so an S is an option. Just have to see whats out there i guess

New S from Keith at revolution is about the £290 mark I think, but he is pretty good on SNet members for deals

Only thing with the R is it will be boomier underneath the car which is a bad thing IMHO and also with more of the exhaust @ 3" you may notice a subtle loss in torque. My STi was punchier with the standard Back Box when I first changed to the Spec S.

Yeah ive read about the torque thing. A remap is on the horizon though (although ive been saying that for a year ha ha)
