Cool ECU coolant temp sensor removal

do I need to remove the inlet manifold to get at the coolant temp sensor on a 1995 wrx ? had a quick look & it looks like a bugger to get in to ?

Any one got any handy tips ??

No, just remove the pipework that's near it, if you've small hands you may even be able to squeeze them in there.
