Default 3" system into a 2" backbox

i currently have a 3inch system from downpipe, but i believe that the backboxs diameter is 2inches. i would like to know if this would cause any sort of issues or restrictions?

thanks

Hi
I believe the back section should be 2.5" if standard.
If your not running massive bhp it will not be a problem. Plenty of company's sell a reducing flange from 3"-2.5"
Hope this helps !!

there is a project thread on here where he reported during a mapping sessions the 2.5 reduction on the backbox lost him top end performance. Cant remember what BHP the guy was running tho.
