been to fetch a new turbo timer tonight and on the way home, ive recieved a very noisey 2nd gear, sounds like a bag of spanners, and a slight noise inb 3rd gear, is this time for a new gearbox ??? or repair, need to fix this week

 

sound like a new box to me matie.. or rebuild but might not be as cost effective

 

thanks buddy, thought i might get that answer, there is a guy near me who rallys scoobys so wi;ll pop and see him tomorrow, see what he thinks

 

took car to a local garage near me today who specialise and rally subaru's, left it with them and told them to sort it, waiting for a phone call now on the damage, looks like its an open cheque book then, wounded, only had the car 5 weeks

Cheaper to source a 2nd hand box

I paid £400+ vat from Grade A

 

i did look at getting a second hand box, but there is that many different ones, or codes . it probably is the cheaper option, but it might only last 6 months, so this way i know it will be right and any problems i can go straight back,
as im new to the subaru game can you tell me more about grade A , new information is always helpfull,
