in short, yes. i found it quite easy - better if there is 2 of you

WD40 hell outta every fixing, specialy on the turbo!

Car up on ramps/stands. Remove 5 bolts from turbo holding it on (good luck if theyre seized) remove 2 exhaust bolts joining middle section, then remove bolt from downpipe bracket holding it to the car, pull back and its away.

new gaskets tend to be expensive but you can re-use them, with a bit of liquid gasket for good measure if you like. how deep are your pockets?

Alright. Dunno if this is the same on the v4. The heat shield is a git to get off. Once off its easy tho.

Little fidly perhaps.

And yes wd40!! I had 0 turbo bolts shear but 2 heath shield bolts sheer.

Jack it nice n high.

Don't forget a good 6 sided 14mm socket, tidy 14mm spanner and a selection of extension bars.
The nut under the turbo nearest the inner wing can be a right **** though.
When i first took mine off i had to crack the top 2 nuts with a power bar

Its good practise to fit new gaskets you don't want to get every thing back together and them find that you have a small leak. £50.00 to fit a down pipe is a good price,I'm sure that the company who quoted you would fit new gaskets..
