exhaust no longer popping?

Ive just took my DV off and the car (uk blob sti) no longer pops and bangs, ive only got a cat bk exhaust nothing else, y is this?

Probably because the DV made the car run rich...I used to have it happen on my Focus RS

what fill said.. the dv was making it rich on lift off

you have nicer noises now though
