Question Timing issues!!

Anyone shed any light on to my current problem?

Cars not been runnning right for the last few months now.

Hunts at idle, starts at 1500 revs, drops to 1200 and hunts in between! The odd time it might spit out a cloud of smoke/pale blue smoke every odd time.
Driving the car anything below 30 its bang bang bang fuel cut whatever it is, over that runs fine. Not taken it over 50/60 mph at the mo as high boost hots 2bar, bad times!
Had it on the Subaru select monitor today and the timing is ranging from +3 to +19.5 ! everything else sensors etc are all fine.

Not sure what the problem is here any help would be great!

2 issues I can see.

Mass air flow meter / idle speed control valve and may possibly be lambda sensor as well for the hunting issue

Boost control pipework / solenoid / actuator for the overboost issue

Hi Fuzz,
thanks for the reply, the MAF is ok been checked and the idle control valve ( been all cleaned out and is fine too. No sensors showed up on the select monitor they all were working fine.

The Actuator is more than likely to be the problem as the MAP changes its boost fine when pressed. No leaks anywhere.

Thanks
Ricey
