Hi All,

I have an 2005 STI (std bhp) and its almost service time. I have searched the forum for info on the best type of oil to use and there are so many opions and options i'm a little confused

I just need your recommendations for the best oil (Grade and brand) to use for my car

5w-30 recommended, whilst 10w-30 and 10w-40 is acceptable. Although 10w-50 can be used heavy duty applications


Also see 01 General Information, section 07 (recommended materials) page 2 and 3

5w-40 is also acceptable as this falls in the same viscosity ranges as a 5w-30 and 10w40. Brand? I'm not going there; as its purely a personal choice.

 

Millers Oils CFS 5w-40

Miller CFS series, Motul 300V series, Silkolene PRO series. All top quality oils, what weight is up to you

 

5w-40 Motul 300V always goes in mine

 

Millers CFS is either 10W-40 or 10W-60. Do they do a 5W-40 too, then?
