water temp hose adapter

hi there can anyone tell me wot size hose adapter i should get for my classic impreza wrx as i only want to take the rad hose off once to fit it please can some one come to my rescue many thanks stephen

i mean if i cut my top hose and put one of them metal house addapter with the them sensor hole in it

The inside diameter of the top hose is about 35mm.
