oxygen sensor

Default oxygen sensor

Hi i'm having problems finding a oxygen sensor for my subaru wrx 1996. It is the sensor that goes into the down pipe and is 2 pin. it has black n a red wire. does any 1 know where i can get that from. cheers

Try here for your o2 lambda
Just Lambda for UK lambda sensor sales

Are you sure its the o2 sensor and not the 'cat on fire'

The cat has been removed got a decat down pipe on it

Yeah, but the EGT sensor is (well was) located in the downpipe on mine and the o2 sensor in the drivers side manifold. I think the o2 sensor will be a 3 wire on your MY iirc

Its the EGT sensor i'm after now its not the lambda sensor. you know where i can get hold of one of those from?

Dno where you'd get one mate,could try main stealer, no idea on price!! I deleted mine with no probs

When i put my decat system on the EGT was siezed solid and i fcukd it trying to remove, in the end i just traced the wires back to some where near the MAP/BCS area iirc and unplugged it. No engine light or any other probs as far as i can tell.
Now someone will correct me if i'm wrong but, i think if you have a decat system the the EGT sensor (cat on fire) is not needed

Correct. As there's obviously no precious cat present to get fried by too high EGTs
