Default Hesitation on acceleration MY98 STi

Hi guys i wonder if you can offer any advise.I took my Sti Type R out for a spin tonight and found that on hard acceleration the car judders slightly and holds back until you ease off and it drives fine. When i accelerate again the same thing happens. It almost feels like its running out of fuel its that kind of holding back/juddering.Could it be something as simple as the intercooler hoses as i did notice that the I/C to throttle body hose didnt appear to be pushed all the way home or could it be something a little more serious
any help appreciated
Daren

it does sound like something silly,hoses/spark plugs possibly, but rectify the hose first!
