Default std recirc valve

Hi i have a my95 wrx and was just wondering what sort of power/boost the std dump valve can handle as i plan on upping the boost and dont really want to change it if i dont have to.

Thanks

Theoretically it should handle 'infinate' boost as the boost acts on both sides of the diaphragm, thus cancelling each other out, keeping it shut (as it's designed to).

But, the reality is, at very high bhp/boost its physical size - and possibly strength of the diaphragm material - may cause a restriction. But at what sort of levels, I really don't know

Oh blimey, yes that's fine (that's what I'm currently mapped at on my PFC).

IIRC, the std dv is good for at least 400/400, so unless you have really deep pockets to chase those sorts of figures, then the OEM dv isn't going to be an issue for you - just forget about it...
