Hi all,
I experienced a loud whining noise which seemed to be originating from the gearbox or diff - not sure which (more gearbox i suspect) - after i had given the car a fair thrashing. There wasnt any knocking sound as i eased the car home, only the whining noise.

Next day i started the car up and drove around and everything sounded pretty normal. Anyone have a similar experience? What do you guys reckon it could be? Or is it a bad sign? Diff oils and gear box oils were at proper levels.

got the same problem my garage thinks its the diff. changed gear box oil but has had no affect
