IMHO,

Ecutek for subtle changes, on a sensible budget.

Simtek/Solaris for deep pockets and more thorough re-working of the whole engine.

JGM explained that my ecu can only manage 1.5 bar, without aditional help from a boost controller, Simtek probably can do it straight out of the box, and of course there is option of the Anti-Lag switch !

HTH

P.S. There is also d.i.y. software you can use yourself

A decat or sports cat and a remap using Ecutek if running on V Power will transform the car, assuming it hasn't been touched before. a Walbro fuel pump won't hurt, but you really don't need anything else for the power output you are looking for.

The result will be far better if you go sports- or de-cat. Do yourself and your car a favour, remove it before getting it mapped Mapping is normally in the region of 550-650 quid, plus HMRC's 15% cut.

full decat , high flow panel filter, uprated fuel pump, and a service with new ngk pfr7b sparrk plugs added, then off for a ecutek remap, with a switchable in car high/low twin boost setup.

you could see 340bhp

if you dont want the hassle with mot then go for sports cat but you would lose maybe 10bhp.

what gains can you get from mapping a uk car with no mods? if it was a jdm car then it would be around 10-20 bhp just for mapping for uk fuel, not sure there is any real benefit for a standard uk car, def not £600 worth
