Default Oil light

Ok so engine is now built and running, in my type r

got plenty of oil pressure on start up and car runs perfect,

but oil light came on after 3miles and wont go out, i checked pressure and its fine same with oil level,, any sugestions? cheers

Got an after market oil sender? Might be a bad earth.

i think youve answered your own question there. if youve checked the oil pressure and level manually then it can only be the oil sender. try cleaning the connector off. its at the front of the enger under the alternator. it has one wire.

i have tryed a different sender, how do i find a bad earth? sorry if that is a stupid question..

Is it an aftermarket sender? The senders are usually earther just from touching the block. If there is too much PTFE tape on the seal, that can cause it.
